ART HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE.
Long before I called myself an artist, I was drawing, painting, designing, and making things. From childhood sketches and paintings to careers in graphic design, fashion design, and interior design, creativity has been a constant thread running through my life.
Today, that lifelong creative thread finds its clearest expression through painting and sculpture.
I am a Canadian artist splitting my time between Vancouver Island and Vancouver’s North Shore. I paint expressive figures and semi-abstracted landscapes, and create figurative sculpture. My work often begins with photographs I’ve taken, life drawing studies, or something that catches my eye.
My years in interior design shaped how I see colour, composition, and scale, and how I consider art within a space. In my paintings, I build layers, allowing loose, expressive marks to sit alongside recognisable forms. In sculpture, I’m drawn to the strength of simplified human shapes.
Inspiration often comes from the places I spend time, the landscapes I move through, and unexpected arrangements of shapes, colours, and lines in everyday life.
I SEE ART EVERYWHERE.
